May a times due to the latest cPanel update, we face the issue that FTP Icons from the cPanel gets disappeared, the work around for this issue is to disable the FTP server and again enabling it from the FTP Server Selection option in the WHM.

To perform the same task from the command line you may use the following commands.

Check the current FTP server.

root@server [~]# /scripts/setupftpserver –current
Current FTP server type: pure-ftpd

Disable the current server

root@server [~]# /scripts/setupftpserver disabled

Check it

root@server [~]# /scripts/setupftpserver –current
Current FTP server type: disabled

Then if you were having pure-ftpd you will have to remove the old rpm, so use the following command

root@server [~]# /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_local_rpm_versions –del target_settings.pure-ftpd

Now configure the FTP server again

root@server [~]#/scripts/setupftpserver pure-ftpd

Now the FTP icons will present in the cPanel
